Little Dreamer Bed

We've purchased two beds from Mimi Beds and our kids genuinely love them. But what really stood out to us was the experience we had when things didn't go perfectly.

Our toddler had a little crash into one of the side rails and cracked an upright post near the bed entrance, these things happen! We reached out to the company not really knowing what to expect, and they were quick to respond, helped us identify the exact part that needed replacing, and sent a new one out to us without any fuss.

It means a lot when a company stands behind their product like that. The beds are great, but knowing the support is there if you need it makes the purchase feel even more worthwhile. We'd happily recommend Mimi Beds to other parents.

My son usually cosleeps with me and the Mimi bed has helped us transition him to independent sleep. So far we are loving it. It can be a bit more sturdy but it’s still a good bed

Unfortunately It came without any hardware. Customer service is very slow to respond, 15 minutes in online chat with no response so the chat ended, and nothing via email yet, so hopefully i can update this for a positive review but so far we will be makeshifting a bed for my toddler until we get the hardware. HOWEVER the wood is all intact and none of it is broken.

Update: While our bed did arrive with missing and defective parts, customer service was quick to respond, friendly, and eager to help find solutions. All said and done, all of our issues have been resolved. It’s not perfect, but it’ll certainly be a safe, sturdy bed for our little guy moving forward. Based on the customer service response, I would absolutely still recommend this company to a friend. It is rare to find a company that will stand behind their products, but Mimibeds definitely does, and that’s worth a lot.

Original review: I want to love this bed, but unfortunately, there has been too many issues with it for me to give it a decent review. First, we realized we were shipped a bed missing a bolt and couldn’t finish assembly without it. The company said they’d mail us one, but it still hasn’t shipped and at this point we sourced our own off Amazon so we could finish building the bed. Next, the frame itself is about 2” too long for a twin size mattress. I’ve had to roll up a top sheet and tuck it into the gap between side wall and matress. Third, our bed included very ugly, clunky, cheap plastic latches. Not the metal latches in all the photos. To make it worse, one of the latches is defective. Finally, the gate swings the opposite direction as every single bed pictured including in reviews. Swinging out into the room, rather than back into the bed frame, both takes up space that our small bedrooms don’t have to spare, and also seems like a hazard as I don’t doubt that one of my children will run into and probably break it.

The bed itself is nice but I do have some worries about it and the quality, the side rail slates didn’t fit into the plunge holes and I had to cut them down to sit in and not have a gap when put together, the side the gate sits on is very flimsy and feels like it’ll break off when my toddler pushes on it.
